Santa Rosa French-American Charter School (SRFACS) is a public French dual immersion school in Santa Rosa, California. SRFACS is part of the AEFE (Agency for French Education Abroad) and one of over 60 AEFE partner schools (including public charter and private schools) in North America.

The SRFACS Chess Team began in 2021, sending teams to compete regionally the last three years. In November 2025 SRFACS sent an elementary (3rd-5th) and a middle school (6th-8th) team to the AEFE North American chess tournament where the students played other teams as well as a chess grandmaster.

In 2025 the middle school team placed first in the competition, as the elementary team had done the year before in 2024. Teams placing first are invited to France to participate in a team tournament. SRFACS has now sent teams twice to France to compete!

SRFACS is a public school and Chess Team parents organize the fundraising for students to participate in the tournament and community outreach.
